Adult Krav Maga

All Krav Maga classes aim to give you tools for defending yourself. Along with combative and defensive techniques, we teach you to be aggressive in the face of an attack, to fight through fear and confusion and go home safe. As you progress through the system, you learn more strategy and tactics and how to apply those with a cool head in a violent situation.

Women-only classes

Once a month, we offer an entry-level Krav Maga class for women only. This class is open to any woman, regardless of whether you are a member of Fit and Fearless. The class offers training on entry-level Krav Maga techniques with a focus on defending against common attacks against women—chokes, bearhugs, hair pulls, and ground attacks. The class encourages you to develop an aggressive response to attacks and learn how to reduce the danger of freezing up during

Level 1 Krav Maga

In entry-level (Level 1) classes, you learn the basics of self-defense and fighting. You work on fighting stance and movement and various punches, kicks (including kicks from the ground), elbows, and knees, and you learn how to defend against punches, chokes, headlocks, and wrist grabs. Students who train an average of two to three times per week should expect to complete the curriculum in four to six months before testing into Level 2.

Level 2 Krav Maga

In Level 2, you can continue to refine your striking, learn to combine punch and kick defenses with counterattacks, and start developing awareness, strategy, and tactics for dealing with situations that involve more than one attacker. You also learn to handle attackers who attempt to strike, choke, or headlock you on the ground. Average training time in Level 2 is six to eight months.

Level 3 and beyond

In Level 3 and beyond, you start to move toward more mastery of the techniques and add more complex combatives and defenses. You will be challenged in these upper-level classes to make your techniques very sharp and maintain them under pressure. You’ll begin to work on defenses against guns, sticks, and knives as well.
