Self-Defense Techniques: Palm Heel Strike

This week, our Krav Maga Instructor, Amy Winters, demonstrates the palm heel strike. They are called palm heel strikes because you strike with the heel of your palm.  A powerful strike comes from the ground up, so always start with a good fighting stance.

THE TECHNIQUE

  • Send hand straight out from shoulder
  • Keep elbow down
  • Flex wrist back
  • Turn fingers slightly inward
  • Pivot on back foot to send arm forward
  • Recoil

THE TARGETS

  • Nose
  • Chin
  • Solar plexus
  • Groin
